NPTA Alliance Endorses UPS Logistics Technologies' Roadnet Transportation Suite

Farmingdale, NY - The NPTA Alliance has endorsed UPS Logistics Technologies' Roadnet® Transportation Suite- a routing and scheduling solution that allows precise planning of delivery routes. UPS Logistics Technologies is a subsidiary of UPS (NYSE: UPS).

The Roadnet Transportation Suite by UPS Logistics Technologies has passed the NPTA Alliance Endorsement committee review process, which was confirmed by the Board of Directors, and has now qualified for non-exclusive endorsement by the Association for 2004. The NPTA Alliance applauds UPS Logistics Technologies for its outstanding quality and its contribution to improving the supply chain with its transportation and logistics solutions.

Roadnet Transportation Suite allows organizations to share information between applications for strategic planning, daily routing and scheduling, and real-time dispatching. Territory Planner® and Roadnet® share common modules and a single database, plus they use some of the industry's most sophisticated algorithms, enabling users to create optimized route and load plans faster and more intelligently. MobileCast®, utilizes a powerful dispatch and tracking software application, wireless networks, and support for multiple mobile devices to provide real-time route visibility for increased operational efficiencies.

"Our fully integrated software solution is unique in that it provides seamless transfer of information between strategic planning, daily routing and real-time wireless dispatch," said Len Kennedy, General Manager, UPS Logistics Technologies. "Additionally, our solutions save time and increase accuracy of service and delivery. Our Roadnet Transportation Suite is the industry's first fully integrated transportation management solution available."

UPS Logistics Technologies' products are in use with more than 1,500 installations worldwide and are used to manage more than 75,000 vehicles daily. For over 20 years, these solutions have helped elevate the customer experience while lowering transportation costs.

"The NPTA Alliance is pleased that UPS Logistics Technologies has the foresight and commitment to the paper, packaging and supplies distribution channel to apply for endorsement for their Roadnet Transportation Suite by the Association," said William H.
